Educational information of ingredients
Chamomile has antianxiety, antihistamine, anti-inflammatory, antioxidant and antispasmodic properties. Chamomile may inhibit the growth of underarm bacteria, which eliminates underarm perspiration odor. Studies have found that chamazulene, a substance from the steaming of the chamomile, prevents the formation of inflammatory leukotrienes. Chamazulene also stops stomach irritation caused by the release of free radicals that activate histamine.
Peppermint has a long history as a digestive aid and as a treatment for the symptoms of cough, colds, and fever. The German Commission E approved for spastic complaints of the gastrointestinal tract as well as for the gallbladder and bile ducts.
Plantain is effective as a wound healer, as well as an antiulcerative, antidiarrhoeal, anti-inflammatory, antibacterial, and antiviral agent. Plantain is great for gut health due to its anti-irritation and anti-inflammation in the bowels. It is aiding in the repair of damaged mucosal tissue, such as the gut wall that is responsible for the immune system.
Ginger has been used to promote cleansing of the body through perspiration, to calm nausea, and to stimulate the appetite. It also has been used as an expectorant and an astringent. The German Commission E has approved it for loss of appetite, travel sickness, and dyspeptic complaints.
Fennel is an antispasmodic, diuretic, pain-reducer, and fever-reducer. It also promotes gastric motility. Traditionally, this herb was used for skin conditions, and various eye complaints. Fennel is also used to stimulate appetite, to soothe digestion, and to hasten healing of muscle strains and hernia.
Lemon balm has a mild sedative effect, antibacterial and antiviral properties, and an ability to relieve cramps and gas. It is used to heal wounds, ease indigestion, relieve menstrual cramps, fight cold sores, relax nerves, soothe and prevent insect stings and prevent insomnia.
